Install Front Fender Bolts/Nuts |
|
| After installing front fender
bolts be sure to put on the chrome lock nut/caps for the
finishing touch (if available). Notice the chrome
valve cap on the cylinder head in the back ground (included)
- Very nice!!
|
Accessing the Battery Box |
|
Carefully unsnap the cover
to expose battery box and connect the included 6V
sealed battery. The cover is held in place with
rubber grommets. This cover is painted black
from the factory. Notice the chrome shocks and
fuel tank graphics!
2004 Note:
12V systems have a larger battery and electrical system
and thus do not have a plastic cover plate so ignore
this if you have electric start.
|
Connect the Battery |
|
Notice the high quality
sealed 6V battery. This battery helps provide additional
electricity when using the turn signals, brake lights,
and other accessories. Automatically charges
using the new powerful CDI ignition. You never
have to worry about using points again!. Red goes
to the + (Positive) and Green to the - (Negative)
- Return cover when finished. (Note location
of 8 amp fuse)
|
Install Mirrors |
|
| Next Install the
mirrors now you are street-legal in most states!
Can you feel the excitement!!!?? Fill the
tank with gas.. Turn on the ignition, and kick...
YOU DID IT!! You are now ready for years and years
of pure enjoyment. - RIDE SAFELY! |

Disclaimer:
Please Remember
that it is the customers responsibility to check ALL
bolts, nuts and screws for looseness before & after riding.
An excellent solution for assembly is Loctite brand
thread locker. Loctite is a liquid that is applied to
bolt threads to prevent them from vibrating loose. Loctite
may be purchased at any hardware or automotive store. We
recommend Loctite #242 for all general hardware and Loctite
#243 for areas that encounter grease, oil and other lubricants.
If you own a motorcycle you are going to want to own
some Loctite! The instructions below are meant to help
guide you and are no substitution for reading the manual and
practicing safe mechanical habits. Please acknowledge
