Remove Axle Nut |
|
| Use your wrench to
remove axle nut. |
Raise and Lock Bars |
|
| Raise and lock the
folding handle bars. This makes it easier to remove
the motorcycle from the bottom half of the crate |
Raise Center Kickstand |
|
|
Notice that
there is more than one kick stand. (Nice) Your Retrobikes.com
Trail Bikes have a removable Center Kickstand (H stand)
that helps speed up your assembly time. |
Locate and Install Front
Fender |
|
|
There it
is! The front fender is hidden on the back of
the bike for safe keeping. Find the bolts and
install the front fender to the front forks. (4
small bolts nice place for loctite) |
Speedo Gear |
|
Now it's time to install the speedometer gear that you
set aside from the previous page. Go ahead and
place the tongs in the grooves in the hub (shown) so
that it looks like the above. |
Install Hub |
|
Check your brake shoes to make sure that there is no
speedometer gear grease on the shoes. Install
the hub so that the gear engages the hub. The
hub will fit tight when installed properly. |
Disclaimer:
Please Remember
that it is the customers responsibility to check ALL
bolts, nuts and screws for looseness before & after riding.
An excellent solution for assembly is Loctite brand
thread locker. Loctite is a liquid that is applied to
bolt threads to prevent them from vibrating loose. Loctite
may be purchased at any hardware or automotive store. We
recommend Loctite #242 for all general hardware and Loctite
#243 for areas that encounter grease, oil and other lubricants.
If you own a motorcycle you are going to want to own
some Loctite! The instructions below are meant to help
guide you and are no substitution for reading the manual and
practicing safe mechanical habits. Please acknowledge
that Retrobikes.com is not responsible for misassembly, misrepresentation,
overlooked details and shall be held harmless and free from
any liability for any advice and instruction provided.
